Orphaned Paper

I am trying to organize my scrapbook nook and I had no idea how much paper I have accumulated.... holy bananas! The sad part about it is I don't remember buying most of it. I have gone through it all and sorted it out. I figured out some was for my scrapbooks, so they found there home. I still have some orphans that will need to be used in various projects I guess. I am going to try and start using up some of the paper on cards. When I make my cards, I try and make 10 of the same card at once. This should help with my paper problem (at least I am hoping it will.)

Here are two cards that were a start to the paper dilemma. They are the same exact card, but I did switch around the colors for a different look. I think they turned out cute and I love, love, LOVE these penguins. I colored the penguins with Soufflé Gelly Pens and used Stickles on the hat. Hope you enjoy!

I'm back....at least for a little while

I have finally gotten back into the swing of things after a long absence. I am in hopes of getting back on track with my stamping, scrapping and my blog, but don't hold your breath. This last year has been a tough one with one thing after another going wrong, but all "adventures" to learn and grow from. Thanks for those who have stuck around and continued to check in. I am in hopes of getting more posts done this weekend. So on with a card. I made this one today while catching up on some tv. I absolutely love this set and is great for quick cards. Hope you enjoy and will continue to venture this way!

Go Pack!

It is gameday!!!! The Packers will be playing the Giants for the NFC Championship. I know you might be thinking...what does this have to do with crafting? Well... to push a little extra luck to Favre and the crew, I made a card. After checking the weather, it should be a real treat for those lucky enough to get tickets as it truely will be the frozen tundra as the thermometer will be dancing around the 0 degree mark and don't forget about the wind chill. It is reported that the teams were practicing with footballs right from the freezer! Gotta love Wisconsin! None of the products used are TAC :( but still worthy of a post :D

Extra post for the week!

While I was going through some old cards, I found another card that I used lace on. It was a fun card and used A Girl Thing (now retired), which is one of my all time favorite sets. I stamped out the corset on a piece of white cardstock with black ink. Once the ink was dry, I cut out the inside of the corset. I then took pieces of lace and inked over them. I used Balzing Red Stazon to 'color' the lace. Once that was dried, I adhered the lace to the back of the white cardstock. I used the the Glaze Gelly Pens to color in the top of the corset.
